DAEMON GROUP WINS TWO COVETED FEMA AWARDS
Daemon Group won two awards at the recent Fairfax Employment Marketing Awards (FEMA) in Melbourne. Daemon Within, the Group’s business to employee relations division, and the team behind communications for Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) each won an award for their creative work and campaigns.
Daemon Within won the category of ‘Best Promotion of Public Sector & Education Sector Careers’ for a campaign to attract healthcare professionals which it rolled-out for the Remote Area Health Corps (RAHC), a newly set-up ‘Closing the Gap’ initiative. The campaign built the employer brand from scratch, striving to communicate the opportunity to an elusive audience of urban healthcare professionals, whilst establishing credibility for the initiative.
Daemon Within was the recipient of a total of five nominations for its work with RAHC at this year’s FEMA awards. Daemon Within’s work for RAHC was also nominated in the following award categories; Best Integrated Campaign, Best Campaign, Best Employer Brand and Best Promotion of Regional Careers.
Daemon Group’s DFR team received the award for 'Best Corporate Careers Website' for their creative work in developing and executing the Defence Force Recruiting website. The FEMA award is the latest of a string of accolades awarded to the Group’s Canberra-based team and agency as a result of their long-standing working relationship with Defence Force Recruiting.

Judged by a selection of the nation’s key players in the employment and marketing industries across a range of sectors, the awards were announced and presented at a gala evening held on Friday 4th September 2009 at Carousel in Melbourne, VIC.
